It was only last year that Faith No More returned to the scene after a break of almost 20 years with their comeback album "Sol Invictus".

in 2016, the crossover and alternative pioneers are now taking a look back at their previous achievements. With "King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime" and "Album Of The Year", the band is reissuing two of their musical milestones as deluxe editions on double CD and double LP.

"King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime" is Faith No More's fifth studio album. It was originally released on March 28, 1995.

It was the first album without guitarist and band co-founder Jim Martin, who was replaced by Mr. Bungle guitarist Trey Spruance. However, Spruance left Faith No More in the same year.

The band moved to Bearsville Studios near Woodstock, New York for the recordings. The production was handled by Andy Wallace, who had previously worked with bands such as Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Slayer and Bad Religion.

"King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime" reached number five in the UK album charts and number eight in Germany.

All of the album's tracks have now been completely remastered for the deluxe reissue. A total of eight rare tracks have also been added, including B-sides such as "Spanish Eyes" and "Absolute Zero" or the Bee Gees cover "I Started A Joke".
